1, Baking Soda

If you want, you can even add a pinch of salt to this. This remedy will clean your teeth of all deposits and leave them sparkling white. You can also use baking soda to make an effective mouthwash that will prevent accumulation of plaque and tartar and keep your teeth clean. Mix half cup of baking soda with one cup of water, 1 teaspoon Aloe Vera gel, 10 drops of lemon oil and 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin. Use this mixture to rinse your mouth at least twice a day.

2, Strawberries and Tomatoes

These fruits are extremely rich in Vitamin C which is why eating these and other citrus can enhance your oral health. However, you can also use strawberries and tomatoes to remove tartar and plaque from your teeth. Cut a strawberry or tomato into half. Rub this piece to your teeth. Let the juice of the fruit stay on your teeth for about 5 minutes. This will soften the plaque and tartar and make for easy removal. Rinse your mouth with a mixture of baking soda and warm water. This is a sure shot method to remove plaque and tartar and gives your teeth a sparkling shine. You can also use other Vitamin C fruit like orange, lemon, bell peppers, papaya or sweet lime too.

3, Sesame Seeds

Chewing sesame seeds helps in scrubbing your teeth off any kinds of deposit. Take a handful of sesame seeds and chew them for some time. Make sure that you don’t swallow these. Once the seeds have been properly ground, brush your teeth with a dry toothbrush. Use the bristles of the toothbrush to massage the sesame seeds on your teeth. 4, Vinegar

Vinegar contains citric acid which is said to be quite effective in cleaning the teeth and removing the deposits. So, using a mouth wash made of vinegar will help you to get rid of the plaque and tartar deposits. To 4 ounces of water, mix two tablespoons of vinegar and one tablespoon of salt. Mix this well and rinse your mouth regularly with this to remove and prevent buildup of deposits on your teeth.

5, Orange Peel

The orange peels that you discard so thoughtlessly can actually help you in removing the plaque and tartar accumulated on your teeth. Take an orange peel and rub it your teeth before going to bed. Leave it on overnight. Doing this regularly will help you in reducing the deposits and keep your teeth healthy.
